Successful Call of a New Settled Minister!!

We are excited to announce that Cascade Unitarian Universalist Fellowship has completed the Call of our next settled minister, Rev. Thomas Perchlik.  At the April 30 congregational meeting, we voted to confirm the recommendation of the Ministerial Search Committee.

Reverend Perchlik is the Interim Minister at Shoreline UU and has served them since 2020.  Reverend Thomas was ordained in 1991 and has served UU congregations since then as both a settled minister and an interim minister.  Reverend Perchlik has extensive experience in social justice advocacy and working with groups on equality, poverty, LGBTQ rights, and antiracism.  He has worked in local Interfaith Communities & hospital chaplaincy throughout his career.  He is very excited to be coming to CUUF at the end of this summer to work with us to achieve our vision for our fellowship and the Wenatchee Valley.

His style is collaborative and facilitative.  He views congregational ministry as a shared ministry, with all work being a collaboration between the minister and the congregation.  He believes strongly in both youth and children’s RE programs.  Most importantly, he loves creating worship with a celebrant, musicians, tech people, etc.

Rev. Thomas is contracted through July 31 with his current congregation and will join us in August.  He and his wife, Amy Genova, are excited to join our community.  They have two daughters and three granddaughters who are very important to them.
